POLICE safer neighbourhood teams (SNTs) are cracking down on agricultural crime by launching a crime reduction campaign.
Mid Suffolk SNTs will be visiting every farm in the district offering crime prevention advice and building stronger links with the community.
Georgi Hawkes, Mid Suffolk crime reduction officer for Suffolk Police, said: “Farms in rural areas can be vulnerable to crime, often involving the theft of agricultural and plant equipment, scrap metal and fuel.
“We aim to do all we can to support our local farmers and help them avoid becoming the victims of such crimes.”
