AN inquest into the death of Ruth Jacobs, whose body was found in Needham Lake, was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.
The inquest heard from Detective Chief Inspector John Brocklebank, who said that a murder investigation was still ongoing and that a 59-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was still being detained under section three of the mental health act.
Dr Peter Dean, Suffolk coroner, opened and adjourned the inquest at the Active Business Centre, in Bury St Edmunds. He heard how the body of 60-year-old Ruth Jacobs, from Ipswich, was found in Needham Lake on February 20.
A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from drowning.
