FIVE men have been arrested by police after a shooting in Beck Row last night.
Police were called to reports of a car being shot at at around 7.15pm in Willow Park in the village.
Two men were arrested at Newmarket Police Station later in the evening on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
One was a 42-year-old from London and the other a 39-year-old from Spain.
A further three men have also been arrested in and around Beck Row. A 74-year-old from the Mildenhall area was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and a 28-year-old and a 38-year-old, also from the Mildenhall area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They are currently in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.
Police will be in Beck Row area today, carrying out inquiries and supporting the local community. A spokeswoman said that the people involved in the incident are known to each other.
No one was hurt in the incident.
