POLICE chiefs have asked for more of the same after crime figures plunged in Breckland.
Chief Inspector Paul Durham said the hard work would continue after overall crime in the district dropped by 9.5 per cent between April 2011 and April 2012.
“The crime that harms our communities most – burglary, motor vehicle crime, serious violence etc, fell by almost 14 per cent.
“We are not going to get complacent, however, and are working hard to make Breckland even safer during the next 12 months,” he said.
Norfolk Police also released a round-up of crime from last month with the figures.
These included burglaries in Guildhall Street, Thetford, and three cases of criminal damage.
