Woman attacked

AN OFFICER from the Department of Transport’s vehicle testing and enforcement agency was assaulted as she sat in a marked car on a slip road to the A14 at Higham on Sunday evening.

The officer from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency was verbally abused and her attacker tried to pull her scarf tightly round her neck before making off.

Police say the man was white, in his late thirties, with dark centre-parted hair and a stocky build. He was wearing a dark green fleece with dirty jeans and work boots. He had a metallic hooped earing in his left ear and spoke with a Suffolk accent.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
