Police investigate burglary at Bury Town Football Club
Police in Bury St Edmunds are appealing for witnesses and information following a break in at a football club which led to Saturday’s game being cancelled.
The the thieves struck at Bury Town Football Club’s Ram Meadow Ground, between 12.30am and 9am on Saturday October 27.
Police say the clubhouse was broken into and a safe, cashbox and their contents were stolen.
Saturday’s game between Team Bury and Saffron Waldon Town had to be cancelled because scenes-of crime officers were still carrying out checks on the ground.
