Murder investigation - three appear in court

Three men charged with the murder of a Bury St Edmunds jeweller have appeared in court.

They are accused of killing 66-year-old Peter Avis who was found dead at his flat above Collis and Son in Abbeygate Street on January 13.

Yesterday Pawel Pacian, Pawel Borowiecki and Kamil Kita appeared at Ipswich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

No pleas were indicated and Judge John Devaux told the three men they would continue to be remanded in custody.

Pacian, 34, of Lake Avenue, Bury St Edmunds; Borowiecki, 34, of Roslyn Road, London and Kita, 20, of no fixed address will next appear in court for a plea and case management hearing on May 18.
