Man sentenced after nightclub punch in Bury St Edmunds
A MAN celebrating getting a job ended up in police cells after assaulting two people.
Gary Victor Rzecycki, 47, of Grove Park, Bury St Edmunds, had been in Flex nightclub, in Bury, and punched a man and then assaulted a police officer called to the scene, Bury magistrates were told on Friday.
After the incident, Rzecycki went to his doctor for help with a drink problem and was prescribed drugs which induce sickness when mixed with alcohol, said Miss Helen Korfanty, on his behalf.
Rzecycki was given a 24-month community order with requirements to attend alcohol treatment and anger replacement courses.
He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
