Hit-and-run witness appeal
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Lakenheath.
A woman was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, with back and head injuries after being hit by a car in Lakenheath High Street at 3.40pm on Tuesday.
Police said the car mounted the pavement and hit the woman from behind, before driving off.
They are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward.
Witnesses should call police on 101.
