Five motorbikes stolen

FIVE motorcycles were stolen in the space of two nights in the Mildenhall area.

Police are now urging people to make sure their bikes are secure after the thefts in Eriswell, Lakenheath and Mildenhall.

The first two were taken in incidents in Mildenhall and Lakenheath on Sunday night.

Another three were then stolen from outside addresses in Eriswell during the evening between Monday and Tuesday.

According to police, the bikes are mostly 600cc and upwards and were taken from driveways. Most of them were also secured with chains, steering locks or disc locks.

Inspector Neil Ireland, said: “We would like to remind all motorcycle owners to make sure their vehicles are locked to immovable objects and wherever possible, inside garages or at least in a very well lit area.”
