THE WORK of a charity which helps the bereaved has been helped by a £1,000 donation by West Suffolk Crematorium, at Risby.

The money has come from recycling metals which have been retrieved from the cremation process and is given to local charities, such as Cruse, and individuals with special causes.

All families sign a form when they make funeral arrangements to say that they are allow the recycling.

This year £1,000 is also going to sponsor young father Nathan Meekins who lost his baby and who is running the London marathon for the Sick Children’s Trust.

Another bereaved father was also helped last year.
