A UNIQUE art installation that connects contemporary art with history and blurs fact with fiction is on exhibit in the Rotunda at Ickworth House.
Suffolk-based artist Hayley Lock has collaborated with writers to create site-specific works for five stately homes across the UK, with Ickworth the first to stage the exhibition which was launched this week.
Ms Lock has manipulated digital images of portraits in the homes and in producing her work has drawn on myths and rumours as well as historical record about the personalities involved.
At Ickworth these include Augustus Hervey, known as The Naval Casanova, the eccentric Frederick Hervey, Earl Bishop of Clyne and Derry, and Victor Hervey, the 6th Marquess of Bristol who was suspected as being the original Pink Panther.
Ben Moor wrote Please Wait Here, a response piece to the Ickworth exhibition, while artist Jamie Clements made a cake with a reflective prism.
