A CONCERT will be held free of charge in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Mildenhall Parish Council’s Annual Band Concert will be staged in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year.

At a meeting last week, the parish councillors voted for entrance to the event to be free with only one councillor voting in favour of charging £5 per ticket.

This year, the RAF Honnington Band will perform for the third time at the annual event.

Councillor Michael Ball said: “If it’s as good as the last three we shall be very happy.

“I’m glad councillors voted not to charge It’s the one thing we can do for the community.”

The concert will be held at the Jubilee Centre, Recreation Way, on October 6.
