St Nicholas Hospice Care is launching a Christmas lights display competition with a chance for Facebook fame on Christmas Day for the winner as well as a £50 spend at Marlows in Hollow Road.
People are being invited to submit a picture of their house displays with the best featured in the Bury Free Press. These will be voted on by the public with an online vote on the hospice website and its Facebook page.
The best five will be judged by a panel of judges including Bury Free Press editor Barry Peters.
Sue Long, hospice community fund-raiser, said: “This is a brilliant way for people to have a bit of fun and support the hospice.”
It costs £5 to enter with all proceeds going to the hospice. Marlows is offering a 10 per cent discount on lights for entrants. Go to www.stnicholashospicecare.org.uk/fundraising/deck-the-walls
Entries close December 16. They must have a Christmas theme and displays must be outside, Picture must be submitted online and only be of your own home.
