STUDENTS at Mildenhall College of Technology were joined by the chief executive of Suffolk County Council (SCC) for a careers advice session last week.

Deborah Cadman was invited to the college by deputy head boy James Webb after he heard a presentation given by her at Newmarket and District Chamber of Commerce.

While at the college Mrs Cadman sat in on a sixth form careers session and took part in a course run by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service for Year 10 students.

Nicky Hood, assistant headteacher, said: “It was a pleasure to have Deborah Cadman visit our school and see what we do.

“She was able to see the students hard at work in their lessons as well as a few of the excellent additional opportunities we offer in partnership with local employers and members of the community.”
