Casualty suffers burns as crews tackle fence fire in Bury St Edmunds

Firefighters tackled a fence fire in Bury St Edmunds last night where one casualty suffered burns.

Crews were called to Cardinal Close at around 6.20pm on Thursday March 31 to reports of a fence on fire which was affecting a nearby property.

Using two hose reels firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 6.45pm.

A spokesman said: “One casulaty sustained burns and was left in the hands of the ambulance service.”

Crews had left the scene by 7.30pm.
