The pub has been open for three years and focuses on traditional cask ales, with several of these made in its own on-site micro brewery, The Brewshed.

Owner David Marjoram said: “These awards are voted for by The Observer readers so it is fantastic to be a runner up for the second consecutive year.”

It comes as The Beerhouse prepares for its third winter beer festival which will take place from November 29 to December 1, coinciding with the Bury Christmas Fayre.

The Beerhouse is part of the Gusto Pronto group which also includes The One Bull, The Cadogan at Ingham and The Crown at Hartest
