PEOPLE from the local community have been invited to join together and share their Christmas spirit at a festival of carols and readings in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
The fund-raiser will be held at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on December 16 at 7pm and will be free to attend.
The magical musical evening includes performances from Ex Silentio and King Edward School Choir and Voice Squad. There will also be a reading by actress Diana Quick, well-known for her role in Brideshead Revisited.
Money raised will be going to the East Anglia Appeal which will fund a new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Rupert Boyce-Brown, 16, from Ipswich will attend the service with his family to give a speech about his experience of cancer and why this unit will be so important.
