Wickhambrook Carnival is making a comeback this July and is seeking stallholders to join in.
It used to be an annual event but the last full carnival with a procession was in 2006, though it reappeared as a country show on the recreation ground, but the last one of those was in 2010.,
But the village has grown and had a meeting six months ago at which people decided it was time to try again and an organising committee was formed.
Committee member Sam Green said it will have a Best of British theme. She added: “We’re going to have a procession, there will be a fun fair on the recreation ground and it will be on the same day as the horticultural show.”
They now seek independent traders to have stalls at the July 13 show. Anyone wanting to get involved should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the organising committee chairman Jack Couzens on 07872 119420.
