A HEALTHCARE team from Suffolk has been recognised for its work improving end of life care.
The Suffolk Advance Care Planning Team was awarded second place in the multidisciplinary teamwork category at the International Journal of Palliative Nursing Awards 2012.
Sandy Barron, NHS Suffolk project lead manager, said: “Palliative care patients have benefited enormously from the work of the Suffolk Advance Care Planning Team.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team.”
The team delivers training programmes for healthcare professionals from all disciplines to improve end of life care in Suffolk. It has developed the programme so that patients will have more choice about where they receive palliative care.
