A care homes manager who has led five facilities across Suffolk over the last three decades has retired.
Mary Lambert has stepped down after 21 years managing Davers Court,in Bury St Edmunds, which has closed and due to be rebuilt under Care UK’s £60 million investment in 10 new care homes in the county.
After training as a nurse in Liverpool in 1974, she moved to Suffolk in 1982 where she was appointed manager of Ixworth Court care home.
During her career Mrs Lambert has also managed Glastonbury Court, in Bury, Wamil Court, in Mildenhall, and Place Court, in Haverhill.
She plans to spend time with her extended family in Ireland and her miniature Yorkshire terrier puppies.
