A Bury St Edmunds care home opened its doors to the public today as part of a nationwide initiative.
Cornwallis Court, in Hospital Road, welcomed the general public in as part of the first ever National Care Home Open Day.
The day was put on by the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, who run Cornwallis Court.
Visitors were invited to take part in activities alongside residents and see what care homes have to offer.
The day saw the launch of a new recipe book, ‘Recipes and Reminiscences’, which looks at lives through food, from wartime to the present day.
Care home residents from across the country submitted recipes for the book.
