A group of feisty fund-raisers are baring all this week for the Beat It! Appeal.

Members of Woolpit Drama Club will be putting on their birthday suits in their production of Calendar Girls on Thursday, Friday and twice on Saturday.

A pound from every ticket the group sells will be going to our appeal for a prostate cancer scanner for West Suffolk Hospital, with Barclays Bank also set to match the amount raised.

Christine Ashdown, who plays Jessie in the production, said tickets were still available.

“Friday and Saturday night are sold out, but there are still a few spare for Thursday night and the Saturday matinee.

“We’ve all worked really hard and it’s going to be a lot of fun,” she said.

To buy tickets, call Ms Ashdown on 01359 242196 or go to Woolpit Post Office.

The production is being staged at Woolpit Village Hall, with evening performances starting at 7.30pm and Saturday’s matinee beginning at 2.30pm.
