A TALENTED young architect has had his bold design flair rewarded by being made partner at one of East Anglia’s most distinguished practices.

Stuart Jones, who is 33 and from Fornham St Martin, has been made partner at Feilden+Mawson.

“It has been rather a meteoric rise. I love what I do. I am fascinated by architecture. I see a building as a piece of furniture rather than as a big block on the side of the road. I believe you can always create something special – even an industrial shed,” said Stuart, who splits his time between a studio near Bury, and the company’s offices in Norwich.

The former County Upper School pupil has led design teams on a number of landmark projects – among them a new hotel which is to be built at Snetterton Race Circuit, and the headquarters of Tobar Toys in Worlingham.
