A trade visit designed to boost business between China and Suffolk firms has had to be cancelled due to a lack of interest.
Suffolk County Council together with its Norfolk and Essex counterparts and UK Trade and Investment, had been organising the visit to China for later this month.
But it failed to generate the level of interest from firms across the three counties, and so the trip has been put on hold.
A Suffolk County Council, spokesman said: “Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex county councils (with UKTI) have jointly decided not to stage the mission at this time.
“The aim of the mission was to raise the profile of our companies in China and for them to meet with Chinese businesses owners.
“We were using the attendance at the China EXPO to get workshops, networking events and conferences planned.
“Another mission will be planned, possibly later this year.”
