BUSINESSES are being asked to show their support for superfast broadband.
Better Broadband for Suffolk has launched an online survey so that it can show potential bidders for the contract to supply the service across the county how much demand there will be.
A spokesman said: “There is a need to show the Government and potential suppliers the level of support there is from industry that will make the Suffolk case even stronger.”
Suffolk County Council leader Mark Bee said: “That’s why we are asking every business across the county, large or small, to go online and complete this important survey. The more we hear from them, the more we can show the demand there is to bring superfast broadband to our hard working companies. I’d encourage all businesses to join us and help make a difference.”
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport announced in August that Suffolk would receive just under £11.7 million towards a £41.7 million project to create a broadband network for the 21st century’.
