RIDGEONS, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, has appointed a new general manager to its timber division.

The firm has welcomed Jeremy ‘Jem’ Slee as general manager of its specialist timber division Ridgeon Forest Products based in Herringswell.

Mr Slee brings a wealth of industry experience, having worked in similar roles for Jewson, B&Q, and Taylor Wimpey.

“Ridgeons’ reputation within the industry is synonymous with quality and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to be part of this fantastic company,” said Mr Slee.

“I look forward to working with the team at Ridgeons Forest Products to build upon its excellent reputation and help grow the Ridgeons’ offer across a variety of new sectors.”

Managing director Angela Rushforth said: “Jem’s invaluable knowledge of the industry will benefit the group in its endeavours to maintain its position as one of the region’s leading independent timber and builders merchants while importantly continuing to provide the highest levels of customer service.”
