The Leaping Hare at Wyken Vineyards in Stanton has been named The Good Food Guide readers’ restaurant of the year for the East of England.
It is one of ten regional winners that go through to the national award next month.
To qualify restaurants need to be independently run and offer local produce.
Carla Carlisle, owner of The Leaping Hare said: “However impeccable the ingredients, however beautiful the setting, a restaurant only comes alive when gthe people who eat there are happy.
“This award means more to us than any we’ve ever received because it comes from the most important people, our customers.”
