A BEAUTIFUL country hotel in Thurston has welcomed a new head chef to the team.
Darren Marchant is bringing high hopes and more than 25 years’ experience to the kitchen at The Grange, in Barton Road.
The 38-year-old chef, from Red Lodge, hopes to win rosettes and build the hotel’s dining reputation.
“I want to put The Grange on the map and make it a dining experience for people to come and enjoy.
“I really want to make it a nice fine dining experience,” said Darren.
He started his career working on cruise ships, after gaining college qualifications in cooking and a higher national diploma in hospitality.
After years working in restaurant kitchens he is now intent on achieving the rosettes he deserves.
