A SEMINAR on successful retailing is being staged in Bury St Edmunds with some helpful tips from the ‘queen of shops’ Mary Portas.
The National Skills Academy and Mary Portas have teamed up to create workshops on successful retailing.
Bid4Bury members will have the chance to pick up some tips on Wednesday October 19 at the free event.
The 90-minute taster session is being staged at the LP Bar, in Woolhall Street, and starts at 6.15pm with a small buffet.
Already spaces are filling up and people need to book as soon as possible to ensure their attendance.
Mary Portas, who became well-known for her advice to retailers in the TV programme Mary Queen of Shops, has been tasked by the Prime Minister to oversee a high street health check and this has lead to the joint venture with NSAR.
The taster session will give retailers a glimpse of some of the masterclasses Portas delivers which range from purchasing, selling and service and creating the wow factor for your business.
Bid4Bury members can bring along members of staff and can apply for places on 01284 766258 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
