East of England Co-op is due to open its first village shop in Lavenham on Friday.

After a £670,000 investment, the Grade II listed property, in High Street, has been given a new lease of life.

Products from more than 40 local suppliers will be showcased in the store and local chocolatiers Hadleigh Maid have produced a bespoke Lavenham Village Store Chocolate Bar. The first 100 visitors will receive a complimentary bar.

It is due to officially open at 11am.
