A digital marketing company which aims to help firms grow their business online has been launched by a couple from Bury St Edmunds.

Business Mapper, the brainchild of Simon and Lindsey Trainer, offers a free DIY guide to build your business online.

They decided to launch the business after realising that local businesses were struggling, while those who were growing at the fastest rate, were perforiming well online.

“Ironically, despite an 18 per cent growth rate for online business in the UK in 2012, when many other area of the economy were failing, the Government was not offering businesses a great deal of free support to help them audit online competition, build and optimise websites, build social networking strategies across technologies, develop ecommerce mechanisms and anayse online sales data,” said Lindsey.

“The cost of employing help to achieve these can often be prohibitive for small businesses. That’s why we wanted to step in.”

She said the firm will offer practical support and affordable online business services.

Lindsey brings PR and marketing experience having worked for businesses, councils, charities, PR agencies and aircraft manufacturer Airbus UK.
