Rawlinson Renault in Bury St Edmunds has been recognised for its support for the automotive charity Ben.

Over the past 20 years staff have been donating through their payroll to the charity which helps those working in the car industry and their families.

Now it has received a silver award in recognition of this.

Managing director, Jonathan Rawlinson said the company had been giving to Ben since it began in 1989.

“It is the staff who have earned this award. It is something we’ve always done and we have people here who have been with the company since we started and have been giving the whole time.”

Mr Rawlinson said the company also donated to local charities.
