Jobs are to be created in Mildenhall at a new outlet to be opened by coffee giant Costa.

The new store in St Andrew’s Street, will provide work for 10 staff.

It will be officially opened for business on June 19 by Councillor James Waters, Leader of Forest Heath District Council.

The store will be operated by franchisee Antony Tagliamonti who is committed to involving his team in the local community by actively engaging in activities within the town and by offering the new store as a meeting place for various local groups, charities and events.

Mr Tagliamonti said: “We have been planning to come to Mildenhall for some time now and after meeting with the local council, attending various engagement sessions with other business owners and talking to the local community we are positive that Mildenhall will continue to thrive.”

Cllr Waters said: “This store brings 10 new jobs to the town.

“Having met with representatives from Costa Coffee some months ago, I knew that they were very keen to come to Mildenhall and could see the huge potential that the town has to offer.

“I am very pleased to welcome them to our fantastic town.

“The Forest Heath area is set for growth with new housing, the creation of new jobs and with it growing communities – and that will be reflected in the tills of Costa and other retailers who are wisely choosing to invest in our area.”
