ONE of East Anglia’s largest independent suppliers of building, farming and garden materials has set up a team for this year’s Movember campaign.

Clarkes of Walsham, based in Walsham-le-Willows, has more than 40 staff growing moustaches to raise money for men’s health charities and to raise awareness of issues surrounding men’s health.

“It’s for a good cause and it’s not hard to do, it’s not like running a marathon,” said team captain James Scott.

The team is made up of people from across the business, with lorry drivers as well as sales and office staff taking part.

But team member Jeremy Roberts said the message still had a long way to go, after learning only a quarter of those involved in the campaign would have a blood test to check for prostate cancer.
