ONE of Bury St Edmund’s best-known landmarks wants to spread the news about its best kept secret.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral’s Gift Shop has been serving visitors and locals for more than 20 years and has just had a facelift.
Keen to increase the shop’s profile in the town, the cathedral is set to stock it with a host of new, unique gifts.
Jane Harrison, who has run the shop since 2011, said: “The main focus of the shop is to stock good quality gifts, with prices to suit all pockets.
“We are introducing a number of new prodcuts into our range, including some unique hand-made jewellery and preserves by the local company, Butterworths.”
The Angel Hill shop relaunched on Saturday and will open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Items such a range of greeting cards, candles, paintings, prins and classical music CDs are all on offer.
Cathedral staff say there are plans to further develop the shop over the coming months, with a series of special promotions planned for the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics.
