Bid4Bury has announced the appointment of business support officer Neil Boast.
He previously held a similiar role and Woodbridge. “I’m particularly interested in working with those in the licensed trade. I have worked with the pub/club industry a great deal,” he said.
The 50-year-old was also a former sergeant with Suffolk Police.
“I’m really looking forward to working with our member businesses in Bury St Edmunds.
“It is a lovely town to visit, work or live in and Bid4Bury works to maximise opportunities to bring people here. “Bury has a strong retail sector so I’m keen to make sure that all the other businesses that make this such a thriving town are reaping the benefits of Bid4Bury membership.”
Bid4Bury chief executive Mark Cordell said: “Having Neil on board with Bid4Bury will make a big difference.
“He’ll be a point of contact for the member businesses, be able to make them aware of all the benefits Bid4Bury can offer their enterprise and comes to the role with lots of good ideas to continue to make Bury a town that people will want to come to.”
Father of four Neil lives with his wife Sally in Woodbridge and enjoys kayaking and walking his Pug dog Bunty in his spare time.
