A power tool manufacturer is looking to increase it sales even further in 2013 through the appointment of a new marketing manager.
Festool Power Tools based at the Saxham Business Park saw sales rise by 28 per cent in 2012.
Now John Burcham has joined as marketing manager. He brings experience within the manufacturing sector, including managing technical and premium branded products.
Mr Burcham said: “Festool is at a very exciting stage in the UK, the brand has achieved excellent growth in recent years and the plans for 2013 and beyond will only strengthen this position further.
“Festool provides the more discerning customer with many benefits and I’m looking forward to introducing this brand to a broader customer base over the coming months and years.”
Part of that work will include Festool taking part in a number of exhibitions across the UK, to further promote the brand.
Stephen Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Festool UK said: “With Jon onboard for 2013, it will allow us to take the Festool brand to the next level.
“With his experience from working on other premium brand, I am confident that Jon is the right person to bring our marketing up the next level required.”
The company was founded in 1925 by Gottlieb Stoll.
Four years later it developed the first portable chainsaw.
It has won numerous awards over its 88-year history.
The headquarters of Festool is in Wendlingen, Germany.
The UK arm of the company trades as TTS Tooltechnic Systems GB.
