MP for West Norfolk Elizabeth Truss has officially opened the new 10,000 sq ft warehouse at GlassGuard in Thetford.

The company in Baird Way acquired the warehouse adjacent to its existing factory in 2013. It will be used for logistics and distribution.

GlassGuard, a trading division of Fotolec Technologies Ltd, makes fragment retention lamps and has been expanding despite the challenging economic climate. Last year it saw its export sales grow by more than 34 per cent.

Chief Executive Officer David Payne, said: “Our new warehouse is evidence of our continued success. We are proud to be a leading business in the region, making significant contributions to the local economy and local employment.”

Ms Truss said: “The new warehouse will certainly provide opportunities for expansion.”
