An eight-year-old girl has helped redesign the mascot of an advertising and marketing business in Thurston after winning a competition.
Megan Butcher, of Thurston, entered the innovative contest, open to anyone upto the age of 12, to revamp the design of KFD’s emblem Oscar the chicken.
Her artwork will be professionally redesigned and used on all of the company’s posters and leaflets.
The company, which started in 2008, is directed by lead designer Kris Sanders, whose chickens inspired the mascot.
KFD specialises in marketing, web design and general graphic design.
Mr Sanders said: “We’ve got chickens in our garden and it became a symbol over time.
“It was a competition to get the kids to do something over Easter.”
