Angel Hotel Bury St Edmunds makes ‘The Tudor good pub guide’

The Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds which dates back to at least 1452, features in a new book, Ye Olde Good Inn Guide.

The book, by History Press is billed as the Tudor traveller’s guide to the best taverns in the land.

“At a time when 18 pubs are closing a week it has never been more important to preserve the history of those which have often served their communities for centuries,” said James Moore who together with Paul Nero wrote the book.
