BARKER Storey Matthews has been acclaimed the most active regional commercial estate agent in the East for the second year running.
The industry magazine Estates Gazette recognised the firms who recorded the largest number of sales and lettings of commercial property for the year ending December 2011.
Barker Storey Matthews received the award for the best regionally based agent .
Savills, whose Bury St Edmunds branch in King’s Road closed on December 31, took the award for the most active national agent in the East of England.
Simon Burton of Barker Storey Matthews said: “We are delighted to have won the award for the third year running. Whilst the property market remains difficult, our teams in Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Bury St Edmunds have worked really hard throughout the year and managed to conclude over 260 sales and lettings – around one for every working day of the year”.
