Studio hits the right notes
The music scene in Bury St Edmunds has received a boost, with the emergence of a new recording studio.
Jason and Anna Betts, who have been promoting gigs in the town for the last three years, have taken the plunge and opened a studio in Northgate Street.
The pair, who have invested more than 10,000, hope the venture will give up-and-coming bands and artists a platform from which to record material professionally.
"We've been looking for a suitable property for more than a year, but it's been a case of finding somewhere which isn't too small, too big or too expensive," said Anna, 21.
"There is certainly a window in the market and when we found this property we thought it would be the opportunity to try something we've always wanted to do."
Kitted out with a 34-channel mixing desk, the studio also includes the very latest production software, allowing users to record up to 16 tracks simultaneously.
The couple hope the project will give emerging talent in and around Bury the chance to have a crack at producing and mastering their own tracks.
