Painting a new future

An art shop is opening in Bury St Edmunds next week following its relocation from Needham Market.

Husband and wife team Paul and Anne-Marie Bland will be holding a special opening evening from 4.30pm next Friday, when they open the Hatter Street Picture House.

The couple have run Talking Pictures, in Needham Market, for 11 years but decided to expand and relocate the shop, which offers high quality prints, canvasses and photographic services.

Mr Bland said: "Over the past year, we decided to branch out at the Needham Market shop and started stocking prints and canvasses alongside the albums, frames, and photographic services that we already offered.

"The success of these new lines has meant that we now need bigger premises. The shop in Hatter Street is ideal, with a relaxed, spacious feel and a gallery area on two floors.

"We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response from our existing customers in Needham Market, who have all promised to follow us to Bury St Edmunds.

"It's fantastic to know that they value the personal service that we have given them over the last 11 years so much and we are really looking forward to offering the residents of Bury St Edmunds that same level of service, too."
