Messy play gets four nominations

Little Squigglers, which offers art, craft and messy play classes for children in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, has been nominated in four categories in the national What’s On 4 2013 Junior Awards.

The awards programme, which is now in its seventh year and received a record 6,400 nominations this year, celebrates the best activities, classes, volunteers and venues from throughout the UK, as nominated by parents and parents-to-be.

The categories Little Squigglers has been nominated in are best local class for under fives, best local class for five to 12-year-olds, best new activity for children and best party entertainment.

Amanda Wigzell, from Little Squigglers, said: “I am so thrilled to have been nominated in these awards. The nominations were made by the parents who come to classes with their little ones, so it’s such a thrill to know that they regard us highly enough to have spent time nominating us.

“The classes are such fun and all the parents and children who come along are so wonderful and really embrace the activities well.”

Votes can be cast up until May 28 by logging onto any of three online directories.

The winners will be announced by TV celebrity host Lucy Piper at Brighton Racecourse on June 30.
