Greene King takes gold at annual brewing competition

Greene King's Hen Hall has been laying some golden eggs for Bury St Edmunds brewer Greene King which has just scooped two top awards.

Old Speckled Hen took a gold in the malted beer category of the Monde Quality Awards while Old Crafty Hen, which was launched just six months ago, took a gold in the Special or Regional Beers, Beers of Abbey category.

The Monde Quality awards attract beers from more than 70 countries and the two successes have been welcomed by Craig Bennett one of the companies brewers pictured here.
