Extra spice with chilli festival

EXTRA spice will be added to the Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival with a section celebrating all things chilli.

A Chilli Festival will be held in Langton Place on Sunday and Monday, August 26 and 27, from 10am to 4pm as part of the celebration.

A variety of chilli will be available at eight stands and there will be Mexican musicians.

The themed event has been put together by Churchgate Showcase with the festival’s organiser Bid4Bury.

The festival will also feature cookery demonstrations from French TV chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and rising star Ollie Dabbous.

Other highlights include a farmers’ market, mini-farm, medieval market and stalls featuring the town’s wide range of food and drink.
