Exporting will lead to growth, managing director of Stowmarket firm tells International trade event

Firms are more likely to stay in business and grow if they export, a International trade event in Suffolk has heard.

More than 100 firms attended as part of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Exporting is Good for Suffolk campaign.

Chamber president Dr Peter Funnell said: “The experience of businesses in Suffolk who export is that they have higher levels of production and achieve stronger financial performance. “

Alan Ridealgh, managing director of Muntons in Stowmarket also spoke at the event.

“While businesses in the UK continue to struggle, exporting is a growth market and businesses in Suffolk should be aware of the wide variety of products and services that can be successfully exported,” he said.
