Boost businesses with social media

BUSINESSES befuddled by the benefits of social media are being offered a lifeline at a workshop being held later this month.

Suffolk PR consultancy Project PR is hosting a workshop for businesses wishing to learn how to incorporate effective social media strategies into their everyday business plans.

Penny Arbuthnot, director, said: "Over the past few years, social media has grown phenomenally. We have been using it as part of the PR for some of our clients over the past 18 months as well as for our own business development and we are incredibly excited about the opportunities available for businesses to reach a wider audience.

"The most important thing we want people to take away from this event is that there really is no need to be ‘scared' of social media - it's all about using it the right way."

The workshop takes place on Tuesday, July 20 (12 - 2.30pm) at the Players Suite, Ipswich Town Football Club with presentations from the Project PR team and guest speakers Paul Winter, chief executive of Ipswich Building Society and Terry Baxter, chief executive of Ipswich Town Community Trust.

It is open to all businesses and costs 20 (ex VAT) including lunch and is free to Project PR clients. See www.projectpr.biz/event.htm or contact Amy Bullard on 01473 326403.
