After three dramatic heats, the grand final of BurySOUND is tonight.
Twelve local acts have been whittled down a final four - all hoping to be named BurySOUND champion. Headlining the event are hip-hop outfit Scare the Normals and Grunge-blues trio Horse Party, two very different but excellent examples of the vibrant music scene in Suffolk.
Simon Chapel from Scare the normals said: “We are really excited about the gig - we’ve always wanted to play there.”
Organiser Seymour Quigley said he’s been blown away by the quality of acts in this year’s heats.
He said: “I am really, really glad I am not one of the judges because I don’t know how they were able to make the call.
“The main thing is we have had three fantastic gigs that have been very well attended and we hope it will make people want to go out and see more bands play live. That’s the whole point of BurySOUND - to get people out there and seeing live music.”
